MALIA HORN -
Malia has always had a passion for design. It wasn’t until two personal home projects, building a home and renovating another that she embarked on her career in design.
Through the process of building a custom home with her husband and contractor father-in-law, she selected finish materials and even got her hands dirty building custom cabinets and doors, gaining insight into building processes and further developing her interest in design. After surviving her first building experience, Malia applied the skills and knowledge developed towards another full home remodel. She understands the pleasures and challenges of building a home and brings this experience to her design work.
Malia and her family moved back to California after a short stint living in Europe and joined the MLID team in 2017. Malia is currently working on her drafting courses and enjoys bringing her ideas to life.
STEVEYANN JENSEN - Senior Designer
Steveyann’s passion for architecture and interior design began as a child looking through her father’s Architectural Digest magazines and spending hours drawing out floor plans and interior schemes for future dream homes. After obtaining a degree in Economics/Marketing Administration and working in business, Steveyann decided to further pursue her education in Interior Design and fell in love the the industry. Her initial experience in Interior Design began in commercial design with Anderson Brule Architects, and later gravitated towards her true passion - residential design after working on multiple residential side projects while raising her first daughter. Steveyann strongly believes that homes are much more than a place to reside and is passionate about helping clients breathe life into their homes; creating spaces that are both functional and beautiful, where memories are made and shared.
Steveyann and her husband enjoy adventuring, road tripping and traveling the world, but with three little girls the adventures are now a little closer to home and typically involve hiking in the mountains or walking along the beach.
