JOB TITLE: Senior Designer/Drafter

SUPERVISOR: Principal Designer

JOB TYPE: Part-time, Hybrid (In office & from home)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Interior Designer with a minimum of 5 years experience in a design firm with the ability to create both 2D and 3D drawings and design presentations with the use of AutoCAD and SketchUp. The ability to work well within a team and also a self starter that is able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail and a high level of organization. 

This is a part-time hybrid role, located in Santa Cruz with flexibility for some remote work.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

​

• Collaborate with the design team to create design drawings and presentations

​​

• Utilize AutoCAD and SketchUp to produce detailed design drawings/plans.

​​

• Assist in developing visual presentations that convey design concepts to clients.

​​

• Maintain an excellent attention to detail in all design work.

​​

• Work closely with the team to ensure projects are executed successfully.

​​

• Maintain strong organizational skills.

​​

• Multi-task effectively and meet project deadlines.

​​

• Work independently and within a group setting.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

​

• 5+ years of Interior Design experience at a design/architecture firm.

 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

 

• A combination of education and experience will be considered.

 

• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.

 

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to lead in-person and/or conference call meetings.

 

• Excellent writing skills for crafting thorough and organized emails for vendors, clients, and teams.

 

• Ability to handle feedback and constructive criticism professionally.

 

• Strong communication skills including written and verbal and the ability to lead meetings. 

 

• Familiarity with design finishes and fixtures and vendors.
